Éditions Imagine
Imagine is a French language publisher located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, founded in 2003. Focused on childhood, images and literature, Imagine is the publishing division of Téléfiction inc, a television and feature film production company. It is one arm of a creative group that has many years’ experience with youth, particularly in producing highly successful television series broadcast across Canada as well as around the world. Imagine is renown for publishing works that provide a glorious blend of art and childhood charm, books with strong stories and compelling images. We believe in bringing the two art forms together in a rich, intelligent dialogue.
Concretely, Imagine’s mission is to avoid the pitfalls of favouring aesthetics to the exclusion of all else, we refuse to publish books that are designed to impress critics without holding the interest of children themselves. On the other hand, we also stay away from books that are sweetly written but artistically empty. We believe that images are the key that children can use to open the world of literature. Therefore, we mainly publish picture books.
To date, Imagine has published over seventy children’s books, mainly from Canadian authors and illustrators. Many of them have been selected by publishers in United States, Europe and Asia. For more information on our collections, available languages and territories please contact:
